We are switching to the ELO scoring system.
I don't have the exact formula for it but here is a summary of how it works:
Each player starts with a score of 1000.
At the beginning of each game, the bot will calculate all players scores and determine an average team score. Each player on the winning team will receive points based on how far their personal score is from the enemy team average. Each player on the losing team will lose points based on the same.
This provides a relativistic approach to scoring that negates your KDA score and is based solely on the probability of each player winning.
While it is not perfect--it fails to accommodate extreme deviance such as a player with a high KDA who has a crappy team every game or a player who has a low KDA but is always on a winning team--remember that no scoring system is.
This approach seems, to me, to be the most accurate reflection of an individuals likelihood to make your team a winning team. And as far as I know, that is the main point of having a scoring system.
As for those of you who argued that changes to the scoring system should be made to benefit the rank of members of Clan Dope, you should all be happy.
Just looking at the top 10 makes me think that this scoring system is more accurate than any other we've had. It reflects likelihood of winning period, and rewards you more for winning against a more skilled team.

Will there also be a regular stat reset after a given amount of time?

I'd prefer not to delete stats at all anymore actually. I know I did it a few times in earlier phases of the bots, but deleting/resetting accounts actually messes with the stats of everyone who were in the games that person was in.
In other words, changing the stats of one person in a game affects all players in that game. Also, there is no clean way to delete an entire game from the system without it creating holes in people's scores.
